Chiropractors Act 1994

I am a graduate of McTimoney College and obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Manipulation with distinction in 2001.

I am fully insured as a McTimoney Animal Manipulator. I do not treat humans and am therefore not eligible to register with the General Chiropractic Council.

In compliance with Section 32(1) of the Chiropractors Act 1994 I do not describe myself as a chiropractor, chiropractic physician, chiropractitioner or chiropractic practitioner or any other kind of chiropractor.

It is illegal for any person to treat an animal unless they are a veterinary surgeon or a "paraprofessional" covered by the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.

I am classed as a paraprofessional by the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962 and am allowed to practice with the prior consent of the animal's veterinary surgeon.
