Mr Chips
If you call me to see your horse I will initially ask you for a detailed description of what you have noticed and what you think the problem is before watching your horse walk and trot up and examining him. It is said "the client is always right" and I believe this. You may not know why something is happening but most good riders can explain what is happening, and nine times out of ten you'll be right.

Barbed wire injury
Your horse's past history is very important too, although often shrouded in mystery!

This horse's neck problems may have originated from his catching his head in barbed wire. You can just see the scar running from the back of the ear to the angle of the jaw.

Mr Chips pastern & quarters
The asymmetry of this horse's quarters results from
a previous injury to the L hind pastern, which is still swollen. A low-flying jet frightened him and his
companion sending them through a stone wall.
